ZF LifeguardFluid 6 is an OEM automatic transmission fluid from the transmission manufacturer ZF Friedrichhafen AG. With ZF Lifeguard Fluid 6 you get the suitable automatic transmission oil for (almost) all ZF 6HP automatic transmissions directly from the manufacturer.
The manufacturer ZF recommends an oil change after 150.000 km
The transmission manufacturer ZF Friedrichshafen officially recommends an oil change after 150,000 km for all 5-, 6-, 8- and 9-speed automatic torque converter transmissions, i.e. all ZF 5HP, 6HP, 8HP and 9HP transmissions, even if they are basically supplied with a maintenance-free automatic transmission oil and the vehicle manufacturer does not intend to change the automatic transmission.
ZF 6HP automatic transmissions in models from BMW, Audi, VW, etc.
ZF 6HP automatic transmissions are found, for example, in BMW 1 Series vehicles of the E82 series, BMW 3 Series of the E90, E91, E92 and E93 series, BMW 5 Series E60, BMW 6 Series E63, BMW 7 Series E65 or X3 E83 and X5 E70. ZF 6HP is also installed in vehicles of the Audi A4 B6 and A4 B7 series, in the Audi A6 C3 and A8 D3. ZF 6HP automatic transmissions can also be found in the VW Phaeton 3D. In addition, ZF 6HP is installed in various Jaguar and Land Rover models, such as the Jaguar XK, Jaguar S-Type, Jaguar XJ and Jaguar XF or the Land Rover Discovery.

The ZF list of lubricants TE-ML 11 shows the compatibility of ZF LifeguardFluid 6. It must be used in the following 6-speed converter automatic transmissions:
ZF 6HP19, 6HP19A (depending on the main parts list), 6HP19X (but not in Audi Q7!), 6HP21, 6HP21X, 6HP26, 6HP26X, 6HP26A61 (but not in Audi vehicles with W12 engine!), 6HP28, 6HP28X, 6HP28A61, 6HP32, 6HP32A, 6HP32X.
In Audi Q7 cars with 6HP19X and Audi cars with W12 engine, in which a ZF 6HP26A61 transmission is installed, the ZF LifeguardFluid 8 must be used!
