Semi-synthetic engine oil: increased performance, better protection

Ravenol SMP 5W-30 is a semi-synthetic engine oil. The advantage of semi-synthetic and fully synthetic motor oils is that they can offer a higher basic performance compared to conventional mineral oils. They provide better lubrication under extreme temperatures, which is beneficial for lubrication in high-wear cold starts, for example, and offer greater protection against oil degradation and oxidation, thus helping to keep the engine clean. This leads to a longer engine life and better overall performance.

High-quality additives: High viscosity index and good cold starting properties

In addition to the selection of base oils, it is above all the additives in an engine oil that determine its quality and performance.

With Ravenol SMP 5W-30 engine oil, the manufacturer relies on a proven additive package and is therefore able to come close to the performance characteristics of its own USVO premium engine oils.

Ravenol SMP 5W-30 has a reduced sulphated ash content of 0.7 %wt. This is crucial for reducing particulate emissions. If your car has a particulate filter, this is essential! Both exhaust gas aftertreatment systems in vehicles with DPF (diesel particulate filters) and GPF (gasoline engine particulate filters) are effectively protected.
