Glysantin G05 Kühlerfrostschutz

Glysantin G05 coolant is an antifreeze and coolant containing silicate and nitrite for use in the cooling circuits of water-cooled combustion engines. Glysantin G05 is a so-called hybrid coolant with Si-OAT technology, also known as HOAT coolant.

Glysantin G05 radiator antifreeze therefore contains silicates and organic additives at the same time. OAT stands for "Organic Acid Technology", HOAT for "Hybrid Organic Acid Technology".

Glysantin G05 coolant is particularly suitable for use in cast iron engines built between 1950 and 1990, as it is highly compatible with these engines.

Glysantin G05 receives Chrysler MS-9769 approval

As Glysantin G05 has been officially approved by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for use in the Chrysler MS-9769 operating instructions, it is an excellent alternative to Chrysler OEM coolant products:

• for use in Jeep / Chrysler / Dodge vehicles until 2013
• not suitable for Chrysler / Jeep / Dodge vehicles from 2013 onwards (except 2.0 and 2.3 L engines) - in this case an OAT coolant according to Chrysler MS-12106 is mandatory

Glysantin G05 as an alternative to Glysantin Classic

Since BASF SE, the manufacturer of Glysantin coolants, discontinued production of the popular Glysantin Classic coolant some time ago, Glysantin G05 coolant is now available as a proven alternative product:

The Glysatin Classic coolant, with its nitrite, borate and silicate-containing as well as amine- and phosphate-free formulation, was formulated especially for use in older cast iron engines of oldtimers and youngtimers. Glysantin G05 coolant also contains nitrite, borate and silicates, while being free of amines and phosphates. This also provides reliable protection for older cast iron engine blocks.

Glysantin G05 Ready Mix or concentrate? 

The Glysantin G05 products are available as concentrate versions only. While Glysantin Ready Mix products are coolants that have already been prepared for use and filling, Glysantin G05 concentrate must be mixed with (distilled) water. The following mixing ratios are recommended:

Mixing ratio 1:2 (30% Glysantin G05 + 70% water): Frost protection down to -20°C
Mixing ratio 1:1.5 (40% Glysantin G05 + 60% water): Frost protection down to -27°C 
Mixing ratio 1:1 (50% Glysantin G05 + 50% water): Frost protection down to -40°C
